Biography
Annastasia Cucullo is a Toronto based Hairstylist and Makeup Artist with over 20 years experience in the industry.
In 2020, Annastasia was an Emmy Nominee for Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling as
Head of Hair Department on the very popular tv show, Schitt's Creek. She, along with her team, were also winners of 2 Canadian Screen Awards in 2020 and 2021 for Season 5 & 6 of Schitt's Creek and also winners of the Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Guild Award in 2020 for Season 6 of Schitt's Creek as well.
Annastasia first trained at the prestigious and cutting edge Civello hair salon specializing in hair color, hair cutting and make-up artistry. She later joined other Aveda salons where she gained extensive knowledge of the product and became a trainer for the other stylists in the salon as well.
Soon after, Annastasia began her freelance career as a Hair and Makeup Artist. She's worked in TV and film for over 20 years, participated in various fashion shows including the 2008 Valentino fashion show in Toronto, many creative photoshoots, advertising campaigns and on an array of music videos and cd covers with musicians and bands such as Mother Mother, Crash Karma and The Stereos.
Her work has been published in several Toronto magazines such as Vanity Fair, Gasoline, UME and Salon Magazine.
Some of her screen credits in both film and television include Schitt's Creek, Nurses, Die In a Gunfight, Mary Kills People, Flashback-The Education of Fredrick Fitzell, Anne With An E, Private Eyes, Ransom, Ride, Goon 2, Spun Out, Make It Pop, Wedding SOS, Band Foto, MTV Canada and The Next Step.
In addition, Annastasia has also developed a reputation as one of Toronto's leading bridal Hair and Makeup Artists. Her easy going attitude and sheer creative focus creates a comfortable environment for brides to relax, share their ideas of their perfect wedding look, and work together to achieve their beautiful bridal look for their special day.
